Mugisha Charles - Computer/Desktop Specialist

A life to tell; from brick making to café attendant/Cashier. My life has changed to heights I could not imagine before WOP. Generally my condition of living was very poor and embraced with hardships. Little did I ever expect to have an independent life along with desk work to do and most importantly paid for.

As I speak today, following training as a Desktop Specialist at New Horizon (Techno Brain)-Kampala, my life can never be the same after WOP because I have met different people at our Centre and with this exposure, am ready to make the world a better place.

Kasule Vincent - Motorcycle repair and Maintenance

My name is Kasule Vincent. Before I joined WOP, I was doing farm work at our home village at Gobero Hoima road. However, life became had when too much cassava was harvested and little was realized from all the time I devoted to farming. In due course of transporting my farm products, I met a friend at St. Micheal Katiti-Nadangira Parish who informed me about the WOP and how accessible it was through the Kolping family at the Parish. With interest to have a skill in vocational training particulary mechanics, I tried my luck in Motorcycle repair and maintenance and through WOP, I made a choice of building a new foundation.

Namuddu Eva (Hair Dressing)

By 2011, I must say least I was sure about who I was, where I was and where I wanted to be. I was told about Kolping and attended the programme in 2011.
I was just a school drop out doing nothing and earning nothing.

I completed a 2 day soft skills course at Nakulabye Catholic Parish, and went onto hard skills training in Hair Dressing which I successfully completed at Tiner International School of Beauty in 2012.

Ssentongo Ronald (Electronics Repair & Maintenance)

My name is Ssentongo Ronald from Ntinda-Kampala. I got to know about WOP from a friend and came onto the programme in August 2011.

I had no hope for further education because my parents had no money to support me after Advanced level 6 and by that time, I felt my life would only be destined to laziness and determined by uncertainties.
