Kolping Micro Finance Uganda ltd (KMF)

Kolping Microfinace Uganda Limited (KMF (U) Ltd) is a Microfinance company of Uganda Kolping Society with offices at Hoima, Mityana, Kagadi and Kyankwanzi Districts. The head office is located in Hoima Municipality adjacent to Uganda Kolping Society National Office. Originally started as Women and Health Programme in 1993 and in 1995 as AFOS (African Fund for Self Employment; a joint venture of the German Catholic Entrepreneurs’ Association and International Kolping Society); then a totally new organ called KEDEP (Kolping Entrepreneurs Development Programme) was conceived and inaugurated in 2003 and finally incorporated in September 2006 as KMF (U) Ltd; a company limited by guarantee without share capital.

Mission: “To build a sustainable institution that provides client focused quality financial services to micro-entrepreneurs for improved social economic livelihoods”.

Strategic Objective

(i) Achieve institutional growth, profitability and sustainability by mobilizing financial and physical resources to provide appropriate services
(ii) Recruit, retain and continuously develop qualified, skilled and experienced human resources
(iii) Grow the clientele base and improve their livelihoods by providing easily accessible demand driven products and services, customer care, client protection and corporate social responsibility.
(iv) Foster sound corporate image, prudent governance through adherence to our core values, timely quality reporting and compliance with statutory requirements.
