Through this project Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) seeks to assist her members to improve their livestock farming (breeds and practices). The ultimate goal is to improve nutrition levels in homes and increase household income through increased milk production and sales. The mode of implementation is the Kolping Family and Kolping members are the principal beneficiaries. The receipient is required to pass on the first in-calf heifer to the next qualifying beneficiary The benefits accruing from this project are numerous: improved nutrition in homes, organic farming practices leading to better farm yields, and sending children to schools as fees can be afforded through the sale of milk and off-springs.
