Uganda Kolping Society; 2nd Runner in Kabalega Elite Corporate Tournament, what an integral Organization!

Just mention where you want UKS to be and we shall perfectly be there; – hospitality industry, Micro finance services, Community development work through agriculture and self-help groups, clean water provision, environmental conservation and spirituality.

In an effort to fulfil our 5^th pillar; Culture and Leisure time, of recent we have yet again explored our potential in games and sports which had been in slumber for a while. It started as a simple task with few staff showing interest; eventually it became an organization concern, UKS then registered among the 36 corporate teams.

The long a waited hour finally came on 29th and 30^thof April 2023, the days the talent exploded. At group stage, out of 9 teams, namely; City giants, Hoima media, Decorporates, Busia corporates, Masindi corporates, Harugongo, Kagadi corporates and Super wazeyi, Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) played 8 matches and emerged the best with 22 points. This made the team to qualify to the last 16 round, here Uganda Kolping Society (UKS) hammered Café Milano and City giants 3:0 and 3:2 respectively. UKS rolled to semifinal. Just like the other matches, Police elite was neither  spared. Important to note at this level “UKS is unbeatable”!

Here comes the finals; at this point, UKS faced if off with Hoima Elite, football remains football and it’s never over until it’s over! The competition became more interesting, and unfortunately, at last the giant “Uganda Kolping Society” lost 1:0. All you would hear from the spectators was “Kolping lacked luck, ball possession was superb, the skill was perfect!. These statements were quite encouraging; this was success as well a challenge. Not all was lost though, as 2^nd runner, we walked away with a ball and a brand new TV set! Hold on, we are reloading… we must outshine with the trophy in our hands next time. This is the determination at Uganda Kolping Society; we are all round, what an integral organization! True Kolping!

Our sincere appreciation to the organizers and hosts; Hoima Elite you proved the worth, the players and all stakeholders. The tournament was indeed corporate and peaceful.
